![]() There is no breaking of rules by posting links here, so that is what will be done.Īdditionally, my aim is to rotate hosting mods between all members of the club both to minimize risk in case of a DMCA hit on someone's online hosting service (like when pastebin links to MEGA or Mediafire cloud drives have been completely wiped/lost in the past) and to make sure that no one person has *all* of the mods, because then should something happen to them that would make them unable to keep up with the thread or hosting duties, suddenly everyone loses access. I'll be using this thread to post links because this forum is unmoderated. Time limits will be set, and once the limit is reached, the top 5 popular options will be added to the F95Zone poll and voted on once more and *that* will determine the target. However, the *choices* for the polls will be aggregated from the EDIT: This has been changed to a separate thread solely for the purpose of polling, which can be found here. For example, the first crowdsource will be decided here. Most major decision making will be happening through polls in the top post of this thread. This thread is mainly going to serve two purposes: deciding what mods to target next, and then ultimately sharing the mods. Now that I've given a brief mission statement and clarified a few things: let's go over how this is going to work. However, when it comes to crowdsourcing, the primary goals *for now* will be Honey Select 1 mods. That is open to change, though I don't see that happening any time soon (HS1 is the superior game as of now, IMO)Īdditionally, any person is welcome to post any HS2 mods they find in this thread as long as they follow the formatting shown below. We are here to be the opposite of that: A community for the sole purpose of free redistribution of goods that are (mostly) already stolen and resold for illegal profit.Īs of now, our main crowdsourcing focus is going to be mods for Honey Select 1. The Honey Select modding community is largely built on dishonesty, theft, and an incestuous ingroup of long-time players & modders who hoard their mods like dragons hoard gold. It's what happens afterwards that we have decided to eschew in favor of collective ownership.Īs such, I'm not expecting any sort of enforcement efforts from modders (since they, themselves, will be seen as the *real* lawbreakers much of the time). Again, we plan on paying Honey Select modders full asking price for their mods. This modding "market," if you venture to call it that, is a decidedly black and unmoderated market.īut I'm still not advocating for theft, here. ![]() It's Patreon's fault if they facilitate a sale of stolen goods, not ours.īut also, because it is a legally recognized point-of-sale, the seller (in this example, Patreon) takes legal responsibility for sale of stolen goods. because we'll actually be paying for them at a legitimate point-of-sale (Patreon*). It's more illegal than what we plan on doing, in fact. At best, it is intellectual property theft. It's akin to making a hip hop album with a bunch of Beatles samples, not clearing any of the samples with the IP holder, and selling the record for a profit. In fact, the ones doing illegal things, the ones perpetrating criminality are actually (most times) the modders themselves.īecause there are many modders who take (steal) assets they did not create, intellectual property of legitimate game companies, and charge ludicrous prices for them. This is the opposite of what Honey Select modders want you to believe. If someone legally purchases something, they are allowed to share it with people they know. I've started this project because the nature of property rights are such that (in my home country of the US, at least) you are free to do what you want with your property. No *real* talk of money or crowdfunding will be had on F95Zone itself, as it is very insecure, unmoderated, and public.
